chad a everson on Sandusky

With the Sandusky story coming to light, it just sounds so familiar. Leaders of an established organization covering up the abuse of a child.

I know a so called "pastor" that has covered up missing money and the abuse of at least one minor that carter got busted for. Too bad all the other carter cronies that covered for him did not get fired or arrested.

When you support corrupt leaders like this, you get what you got. It may look successful for a time, but it will come crashing down one day.

chad a everson on Warnings

Anonymous POSTS:

"You cowards! If this man is evil then, for God's sake, confront him, challenge him, publicly rebuke him.

If he is simply disliked, then "shake the dust from your feet" and move on.

But what do you do? You hide and snipe at him from afar, gossiping like a bunch of pubescent schoolgirls accomplishing nothing but building up your own contempt and sinfulness."

He HAS BEEN confronted more than once, face to face, and many HAVE moved on because of his deeds and the cowardly leadership in churches that have allowed this wolf to continue to ravage the flock even after he and his band of thugs were exposed for what they really are.

His actions continue to be exposed, and you call it gossip. However, others out there clearly deserve a warning and that is what this is about. Use you good ‘ole evangelism analogy, if you were driving by a house that was on fire and saw the people just sitting in it unaware, would you not warn them of their impending doom? Trinity was warned, but unfortunately those in Byron and Starke did not have that luxury until it was too late.

WARNING churches, there are wolves in sheep's clothing. The Bible warns about it, but when it is brought to light in your church, you want to hide behind “not messing with God's anointed.” Well I submit to you, God's anointed would have taken heed long ago and not continued to destroy the Church of the Living God in the name of Jesus Christ.

The TRUTH marches on.

chad a everson on Moving On

These guys are on the prowl folks, Trinity, do not just let them slither into another church to destroy. The third time is the trick, do what you must.

Search committees, continue to do your homework, do not simply believe this site or any other, call your potential pastor's previous churches, ask about the finances and the attendance, before, during, and after his departure. Do financial, legal, and criminal background checks. The Internet is not always the truth, but it can lead you to some solid sources. It is worth not rushing in, do not let some smooth talker worm his way in without you earnestly seeking out the truth about who the man really is. If he is truly God led, he will sit and wait on the Holy Spirit to lead and move. Faith is required, but God has given you the resources and the intelligence to NOT be stupid.

You search committees are not only there to seek out God's will, but also to protect the families He has put under your protection. Leaders in the church WILL be held to a higher standard, and that is not just the pastor. Are you listening, Sunday school teacher, deacon, youth worker, worship leader, children's worker, pastor search team, trustee? If you have been called to this role, then remember, you answer to the Almighty God, not man.

Be ware, wolves in sheep's clothing exist, just ask those in Byron, Starke, and now Southaven.

chad a everson on History

The following paragraph was posted a couple of weeks ago, and it was held until now. It needs to be said now since this so called "pastor" is on the hunt once again.

"This is the same man who covered up a child molester on his own staff in Florida. He knowingly knew about it and even went so far as to attack the family of the girl involved for having the nerve to say anything and turn in the pervert. Now chad wants to look so high and HOLY please he just makes me SICK!"

This is also the same man who covered up the theft of over $70,000 at his first church in Georgia.

History is something that we are supposed to learn from, not simply repeat. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If another church picks up this bunch of liars and thieves and expects to get a real pastor and staff that is out to do God's will, then do not be surprised when you just continue to give them another place to destroy. Will the insanity ever stop?

Trinity, this is now your problem, stand up and do what the others were afraid to do.

chad a everson on Education

Re-posted as requested from October 16, 2010
*********************************************

The following post is from a current member at Trinity Baptist in Southaven.

My dearest fellow Trinity members,

I am going to write to you because there are some things I feel you should know. Some of this you may know and some you may not, but I think this information may make some of the things we are seeing make more sense. I am not going to print opinions, unreliable information, or hearsay; I only want to give you the facts, although I will give you some of the conclusions I have drawn at the end. The following information comes straight from Chad Everson’s resume, and you can verify by following the links included at the end of this post.

Chad does not have a legitimate doctorate degree, nor is his master’s degree from a notable, accredited institution. As we all know, Chad does not have a problem talking about his time at Mid-America Seminary. It gives him credibility because MABTS is well regarded, especially in our area, because it is so close. He threw it around quite a bit when he came in view of a call because Dr. Mahony was there. He did not graduate from MABTS, though. He finished his “education” at Andersonville Baptist Seminary.

Why is this important? A Master’s of Divinity (the traditional program for those who want to pastor) at MABTS requires 88 semester hours, which is 30 classes and generally takes 3 years or longer to complete. The Master’s of Theology degree from Andersonville only requires 30 semester hours, which is only 10 classes and, according to Andersonville’s website, can be completed in as little as 12 months. What does that mean? It means that our pastor has less education than most of the rest of our staff, and I use “most” only because I don’t know Jon Rushing’s educational background. The major Southern Baptist seminaries don’t even recognize degrees or coursework from Andersonville.

The “Doctor of Ministry” degree from Lake Charles Bible College is no better: mail in a few hundred dollars, read and complete 5 workbooks, and anyone can have this degree. It is basically a diploma mill. What does MABTS require to receive a doctorate? A Master’s from an accredited institution with no lower than a “B” average, 2 years of ministry experience, and 32 doctoral level hours, including a major ministry project, seminars, and a final major exam. It also takes generally THREE YEARS to complete this program. Even the application process is difficult – it takes the doctoral committee 60 days to review applications to the program, whereas Lake Charles’ website states that you “can even start the day you apply.” Getting a real doctorate is NOT easy – talk to anyone who has done it or attempted it. It is so intense, many pastors have to take a sabbatical from their churches to finish it, and I have even met some ministers who have nearly lost their families due to the time consuming nature of the program. Calling yourself a doctor of anything with a “degree” like Chad’s this is a true slap in the face to anyone who actually put in the time and effort to really earn theirs. Would you let your open heart surgery be performed by a doctor who bought their doctor’s degree and put in little time or effort? I didn’t think so; neither would I. Why do we expect any less from one who we trust with our church’s spiritual health?

For those of you who were here when Bro. Jim was presented in view of a call 20 years ago: Do you remember the big stink created about his doctorate obtained through Luther Rice Seminary? Do you remember Dr. Skinner being so upset by the lack of requirements needed to graduate from LRS? This is so much worse. At least LRS requires that you actually do real work, even if it is by correspondence.

My conclusions:

Why is this relevant? Why does this bother me, and why should it bother you? Because we have a pastor who is passing himself off as something he is not. THAT is a fundamental problem with anyone, but this is inexcusable for a pastor. Transparency of a pastor should not be optional! How can a pastor expect to build relationships with his church if he isn’t real? He never said that he did graduate from Mid-America, but he conveniently leaves out where he did finish. You can check this for yourself. Check out his personally posted profiles at http://bigsight.org/chad_everson , https://www.xing.com/profile/Chad_Everson , http://www.ziki.com/en/chad-everson+132964 , http://www.linkedin.com/in/chadaeverson , and so on.

If he is so proud of his time at Mid-America and lists it under “education”, why purposefully leave out Andersonville and Lake Charles? Because Chad knows that other pastors know the reputation of those “institutions,” and it will defeat the purpose. Why else would someone want to obtain a doctorate and not tell everyone where it came from? It is interesting that the very thing he has used to try give himself credibility, in my opinion, has discredited him in the deceptive way he has gone about it. And, while we’re at it, am I the only one who has a problem with a pastor promoting himself on these professional sites? What is the purpose? Shouldn’t promoting the cause of Christ be more important than promoting ourselves?

And why is it okay to take the “short route” with your “education?” Just to call yourself a doctor? Just to have the prestige and recognition? When does a pastor, above anyone, need to promote himself? Isn’t it his job to promote the Lord Jesus, not himself? Aren’t you only cheating yourself out of a proper education just to get a few letters to tack onto the beginning of your name? Aren’t you cheating your churches out of the knowledge and insight you would have gained by obtaining a real degree? And if a pastor is willing to take the “short route” to a degree, in what else is he willing to take a short cut?

I love you, Trinity! Remember to be like Peter. Keep your eyes fixed on Christ and not the crashing waves around you, and by all means, don’t sink!!

chad a everson on Performances

Beware, he is in his element with his "meetings." He deserved an Oscar for his performances in Byron and Starke. Be prepared for a great show.

If you are not with him, then you're a "nut" and a troublemaker who is lost.

If you want to take care of this, confront this megalomaniac in this service. Stand up to him, and if anyone puts their hands on you, press charges. Call the local paper, call the local Sheriff's office if you have to, but by God, make a stand.

ENOUGH Trinity, stop being bullied by this coward and his brainwashed minions. Take back what God entrusted you with, HIS CHURCH.

chad a everson on Reconciliation

The next time chad preaches to warn you about taking the Lord's Supper without first going and reconciling yourselves to those that have ought against you, watch him to see if he goes and tries to reconcile those Brothers and Sisters that have been harmed by his actions and his false teachings.

Just saying, practice what you preach.

chad a everson on Moving On

Trinity members, there are only two options for you:

Leave and find a church that you can serve God in and let the wolves have it, or you can fire him. The latter means someone has to confront him head on. Who will say, "Here am I, Lord."

The Southern Baptist Convention is not going to, nor is able to help you either. Much of the SBC "leadership" has stood by an watched him destroy three different local church bodies. They have shown on more than one occasion that they do not care.

He will always have some sort of cult following. Just make sure that the people who follow him have the information they need to make an informed decision. If they still wish to follow him and believe his lies, then that is on them. They will answer to God just as we ALL WILL.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
