Below is a response to a comment received early this morning. It needs to be published, but not without a rebuttal to the one who wrote it.

This is a fight and a heartache that the people of the Southaven community will battle for years to come, even after you are gone.
People of Trinity and other places where this man is preaching or may preach, please do your research as has been suggested. Contact those at the other churches he has been at. Please go and speak to him, question his motives, make him clarify his stance on things he has done in the past. You will soon see the real person behind the mask of doctrine and authoritarianism.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I remember that there was a kid who tripped me on the playground when we were in 6th grade. I'm thinking about starting a blog about him. Should I choose a blog or facebook??
Chad you can post anywhere you like. It is a free country. You have a lot of time on your hands you don't spend much time on your messages so you can set up all the blogs you can. Your wife post the one on the Trinity website and all you have to do is think up your sarcastic Wednesday Wisdom on Facebook. Do what you want you will anyway.
By the way this just shows how much of a Godly man we have in our pulpit Deacons who are looking at this, look hard. This is what has been said about his hateful ways. This is his attitude with anyone who even tries to question anything to him or about him. He is a sarcastic and hateful man who pops off to anyone. He is a HOT HEAD and maybe I am wrong but I have been in church most all my life and I have never met a pastor who acts this way. He is more of a rude little league baseball coach who is yelling because he doesn't like the way the game going.
I might listen on Sunday's when he preaches "Peace Makers" if he walked the walk and talked the talk. He has a split personality we have Dr.Everson and Mr.Chad. Great for Halloween because he is scary. He has security in the services because he is afraid of threats. I am glad they are there to protect us from him.

I agree I don't know if this is Bro.Chad but he scares me. That is why I will not say my name. I have never felt fear at church before. my daughter tells me to leave but I love Trinity and have been there so long I don't want to go anywhere else. i just hope he leaves soon.

I hope that you in Florida insist on that judgment. Maybe then churches that just do a background check will see a legal problem that he can't explain away by calling the police "Crazy people who just want to destroy him and his family".That might stop him from being able to leave another church in ruins.He is very scared here and needs to worry the sins of his past are starting to catch up to him!!
Oh but he will try and tell everyone how mean these crazies are to him. Yes we are mean and we pay your salary. I thought that a pastor should be above reproach. Well? Chad you expect this in your deacons and Sunday School teachers. We would not allow someone to work in the nursery and be around our children if they had your past but we can pay them and protect them. I will do unto you as you have done unto me and that is not nice.
I feel that we need to poll our church membership and see the average pay of members and Chad should make the average pay as the members. Lets see if God called him or his paycheck did. You will have to take a pay cut soon cause there will not be any money to pay you.
It breaks my heart that Chad has split our church even worse than before he came. The can take his "Peace Makers" and change it to "Leave Them In Pieces". He is so evil.
You people should be ashamed of yourselves! This is exactly what Satan wants. If Bro Chad had to practice church discipline on a member, they were probably living in sin. The problem is people want to live however they want while wearing the name of Christ. Why don't you spend more time on your knees than slandering people's names all over the internet. I am a Trinity member and Praise be to God that I am. The Lord has so blessed by finally sending a man of God that is not ashamed of the true gospel of Christ. A man of God that has not the fear of man but the fear of God! The staff that God is putting together at Trinity is a blessing!
We all know exactly what is the real problem with such evil doers that would start a little blog to persecute a believer. Your heart is desperately wicked and in need of salvation and repentance! According to the Word of God in 2 Timothy 4:3-4, For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. NKJV.

I too am a member of Trinity and have seen past pastors who I might add Stephanie were Godly men even if you feel that Chad is the only one we have ever had. I will say that he is the most hateful one we have had. If you don't believe it just go and question anything he has said you will find out just as others have he will pop off to you and you will see first hand. You just don't understand the hate in this man I have been on the other side of it and it is not pretty or Godly. Go ahead I have proof of it at Trinity. So NO I will not allow him to keep hurting and will pray daily he will be stopped.

Did it EVER occur to any of you that Br. Chad may have repented (if guilty of what you say) for what he did? And if so, God has forgiven him. This was done in the past. The obvious agenda of the original poster is to destroy Br. Chad. Otherwise he or she would let it rest. But they are not going to until they see him destroyed. Now anyone tell me that this is of God! I don't think so.
Oh Stephanie and Nicole you just don't know how bad he has treates people since comming here. Anyone with half a brain can see a problem with him. He has anger problems and seems to enjoy pushing people around. Treat people better and should be above scandle. Stephanie you are in the choir and I guess you are happy with your ministery being taken away from you.

Well I know for a fact there are many people in Byron and Starke that have never gotten an apology from him for his actions against them. He preaches that you must be clean and go ask for forgiveness from those that you have wronged before you partake of the Lord’s Supper. So as he partakes the next time in Trinity, know that there are many people that he owes an apology to, but he will partake and will not right the wrongs.

Okay, you've warned us (Trinity) of Br. Chad's "destructive ways". Thanks, we will take it from here. If Br. Chad "owes an apology" to you, then you take it up with him on a personal level, not on a public forum. If he owes others an apology, this is none of your concern.

If you have been a Trinity member since 1975, it is a shame that you are going to sit by and let this man destroy all that God has done at this church.
The agenda here is no different than his agenda when he conducts church discipline. This is “sound doctrine,” remember. If you folks disagree with this, then take it up with God.
It amazes me that it is OK for him, but not for anyone else. So, since you forget so easily that he has been confronted on multiple occasions by multiple people, please remember the following.
chad has been rebuked privately and publicly and members of the body are to withhold intimate fellowship through the process and procedure of group disapproval and social ostracism. Clearly, the offender knows that his action has dishonored the Lord and has caused a rupture in the harmony of the body. The goal has always been restoration.
2 Thess. 3:6, 14-15
6) But we command you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from any brother who lives an undisciplined life and not according to the tradition they received from us.
14) But if anyone does not obey our message through this letter, take note of him and do not associate closely with him, so that he may be ashamed.
15) Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
Unfortunately, here we are at the final stage.

I have been a member for almost 15 years and with yhis much aginist him and only 85% of the people voted him in then he should do what is right and leave before he does any more damage. But he won't until like the others he has to. Then it will be late and all of you will then change your tune but it will a sad song.

I am a member and I may not like all of this but I have read all that Chad was accused of but I do feel that he did do wrong. Yes he can repent but just as everyone else he has to face the consequences. He has preached that and he has to do the same. He should have never been called with all this out there. If the search committee did see this then they knew better.
What happened to "God has a plan and knows what he is doing". Whether Chad is a man of God or not is not for anyone on Earth to decide. It is for God to decide. God does not make mistakes. He placed Chad at Trinity for a reason. If the members of Trinity must suffer or leave or embrace him, it is all a part of God's plan. I am not a member of Trinity but I have attended often. I personally did not care for Chad's style and chose not to return. However, I have wonderful friends who still attend.
That is true but it is also not Chad's insite that tells us all the time that if we don't like what he is saying or means that "You Are LOST" He does all the time and when someone lies to get his job it may not have been God's will. He would have been voted in by a larger number than he did if it was God's will. Now we just SUFFER!
If you feel that way, then why don't you leave. God has placed you in a free country where you have choices. We have the right to worship God and the right to worship where we wish. If you believe that Chad is wrong, then leave. I truly believe that God is a loving God. He does not intend for us to be miserable. If we go to his house of worship and we are unable to truly worship him, then we are in a place that he does not intend for us to be. God gives us common sense...like a battered wife leaving her husband. God does not intend for us to suffer, he simply wants us to praise him. For all of the MISERABLE Trinity members writing in..if you are truly miserable, then you should seek another place of worship. Sorry, but it is the truth. If God intends for Chad to remain at Trinity, there is nothing that anyone can do. And, if God doesn't then, he will deal with Chad. It is out of our hands!!
You are so wrong to just tell people to leave. That is not your place either. It is not wrong for the people of Trinity to ask for RESPEST from the man there to be their pastor too. He cannot just pick and choose who to be nice to and if a person has a question then he should try to explain and not just yell and label them as trouble makers. We are all here to agree to disagree and as you stated it is a free country so we are here to stay and if you don't like it then stop reading or leave...Chad must reap what he sows and that is rudeness and hate. i agree. if you're aren't happy, you all have the right to leave. no hard feelings. there are others who have left...but they did it with dignity!! They left with their mouths shut, in a way that honors God.

Wow, you sound just like Chad, since he has said that many, many times. If all of these members of "his" church are leaving, if he were any kind of caring, genuine pastor at all, his heart should be broken for them, not have, pardon me, a "to hell with them" attitude. A true pastor would go to them and ask why and try to make things right if there was an offense. A wise pastor would take a step back and assess the situation and see if anything be done to can rectify things. A mature pastor is personally invested in the lives of church members and hurts when they hurt. I believe Jesus left the 99 sheep to search for the 1, did He not? I'm sorry, but that is not happening at Trinity.
And why is that okay with him and with you? Many of us grew up in the nursery at Trinity, were saved there, and have served our whole lives alongside our church family to further the Kingdom there. We have shared the happiest and saddest times together through weddings and funerals there. I am quite aware that things are not going to change anytime soon, and if my family wants to truly worship and continue to grow in a loving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will have to find another church home. But to leave Trinity behind hurts, and for you to say something so flippant shows that you really don't care any more than Chad does that people are hurting and devastated. Now that is Christ-like.

You were not on the search committee nor were you in the meetings of committees who met with him.
You have NO idea what all the search committee did to check all of this out before he came. If you care to know, just ask us! We'll be glad to lay it all out there for you. Instead of believing everything you read, ask someone who was close to the situation. Until you do that, please keep stop spreading lies.
If he told you about all this and you did not check it out you were just fools and YOU brought this to us. YOU deal with it. Also I have always heard that the church takes on the attitude of the pastor. Well it has here.
PSC if you want us to ask you if you looked then sign your name.....Which committee member are you? Which one looked and found nothing wrong? Which one talked to the people at his other two churches and said they were just crazy? None of you did. If we had a secretary job open and her other company had that much aginst her she would not be hired. Yes I am upset I have been at Trinity for many more years than most of you. I do not want to leave but all the deacons are just letting him do whatever he wants and they don't care. They can just leave to. Chad should care but he doesn't and that is a shame. With all this going on Deacons if there is proof of any of this while he has been at our church to any of our members it is YOUR DUTY to check it out. We members feel that we are only there for our money and you could care less about how we are talked to or treated. This must stop or we all just need to lock the doors and leave. I remember when we loved each other and we needed someone to lead our church to unity insted of slipping it open more and pouring in the salt.
I wasn't merely suggesting that you leave your home of worship for no reason. I was raised in a home with an alcoholic father. God placed me there. I spent 19 years of living in fear and anxiety. God placed me in that situation for a reason. At the time, I had no idea why but now I do. Can't you see that you can't control God's plan. You can't control Chad. You can vent and you can pray and you can post on blogs but nothing will change unless it is God's Will. We could speculate that God has put Chad at Trinity in order to prepare their hearts for the next pastor who will be a man of God who is extraordinary and grow the church beyond all pastors. But who truly knows? Only God.
Okay now I have had an e-mail from someone who claims to be a deacon that received the copies of the e-mails Chad sent me.It was full of hate and threats. So if you are one of the deacons who got my packet this week you are being blaimed for this. With the hate and name calling I really think it came from CHAD. I know his style and it looks much the same. TBC you have a winner. I say you because as Chad just wrote me He is just glad that I am gone YEA! I can't believe we have this as a "Godly Leader" He is now tring to make it look as our deacons are the same but Chad unlike you I have known most of these people and I know their hearts and they are not like you.
When Bro.Chad came he said we had to many staff members and now he wants to hire an assoc. pastor. We have lost members and the money is the worst it has been in years. This maddness must stop.
An associate pastor? For what? We don't have enough membership left to need one, and we sure don't have enough money to pay one. Where is this salary going to come from? How far back into Chad's past does this guy go? He's already brought his buddy children's minister who he's moved with him before, a youth minister who is a friend of the family, and a children's intern from Pray's Mill. This has just gone way beyond absurd. When is it going to stop?
I do not know why we need more employees. We have more than we need now. And by the way there was a day when we had five times the children in preschool and childrens ministery and two wonderful Godly ladies running them.Now we have three on staff in nursery and they sit in their office during church on facebook and one man who runs childrens church. We also have a few in childrens dept. What happened to no more part time people after I come as your pastor and we will down size the staff. We need more people working because it is a ministery and not a paycheck, but in the nursery they just pay people and many of the ones who always worked for free you have run off.....I think if he wants another employee then it should come out of HIS pay and from paying for two houses. After Jan. I will not vote to keep paying for a house in Florida. I also wonder how a man who doubled his pay by comming here could afford a $500,000.00 house.
Oh my Word!! In the name of Jesus, stop all of this. I had a concern with an area of our church. I called the church office, made an appt with Bro. Chad and asked him about the situation/concern. After the meeting with Bro. Chad, I prayed about my concerns over a period of weeks and God showed me very clearly what His plan for my area of concern is. I did not blog about it nor call my friend up and discuss it. I got into God's Word and left it at His feet. My course of action is to strive to be Christ-like. I did not blog or e-mail, I did not gossip and condemn my brothers & sisters in Christ....I prayed. When someone offends you, bothers you or angers you, tell God on them. He is the Mighty Warrior, The Prince of Peace.
Just make sure any new pastor is not named Jeffery Lamar Carter.

If you are the Carmen that I know at Trinity then I taught both of your boys and maybe Chad was wonderful to you when you went in with a concern but to me he was hateful and I was labeled a troublemaker. Others have had the same treatment. If you were selling a house for someone you would not expect to be talked to that way. Chad is bad and Trinity did not need him at all. He lied to gain his employment. He is hurting so many more than he has helped. I hate it but he must go!!
I will say to the person who wrote in and started this post. I am a member and I did the research. i talked to people from his past churches and looked up all of his education on the next page. I did more research than the search committee did. I wanted to believe that Bro.Chad was innocent but in all I have looked at he has a lot to explain. The lack of his knowledge is evident in the way he deals with the people in his charge. Well we have many a lost sheep at TBC and he is doing nothing to bring them back. He just makes it worse.Stop judging us and start asking him and then you to will see his anger first hand as others have.
And yes Bro. Chad has been asked many a times about certain things and has ignored it. That tells me he is not concern about his sheep just his self. And I am so tired of people saying he preachers the word, well so did Bro. David and Bro. Jim. If he is right for TBC then why all this negative blogging about him and why are there members still leaving.
You know Bro.Chad seems to yell a lot about people sending things to him or blogging anonymous well that is what he has done several times. Chad! Another case of do what he says not what he does.....

My thoughts exactly. Have any of you noticed how often we hear about "preaching the word", "hard preaching" and "teaching doctrine?" It's as if Trinity has never had that before now. Does he honestly think he's the first doctrinally sound preacher we've had? In case you didn't know, Trinity has never expected anything less, and if someone ever came in who taught less than the Truth, they would quickly be shown the door. However, we have had pastors (there is a big difference between a preacher and a pastor) who have loved us, really cared about us, cried with us, and rejoiced with us. There is more to being a pastor than just preaching doctrine.
And there is so much more to the Christian life than doctrine. It is important to know why you believe the way you do, but that is just the beginning. Doesn't it say in James that even the demons believe there is a God and shudder? Stopping at the doctrinal stage makes you no better then a Pharisee. They had plenty of knowledge but no relationship. Where is the teaching about how to have a loving, inimate relationship with Christ? And by that I don't mean "do this and do that and serve here and there to show God how much you love Him." If you show a church how to have a real, growing relationship with God, you don't have to verbally beat people to death to serve, teach, give or anything else.
