chad a everson on Being Questioned

So is it right to question a preacher regarding his teachings? After all, these guys have the seminary degrees and even fake doctorates, but they have all this education. Who are we, the lowly sheep to question these men and women who have declared themselves authorities on the Bible and how to act like a Christian. Well I hate to break it to the “great noble” baptist conventions and those of you who blindly follow them, the veil was torn in two. We no longer need a Pharisee to read the Word to us.

Compare what the preachers teach to what the Bible says. Even Paul was not above having his teachings checked:

"Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true" (Acts 17:11).

Who could teach the Scriptures more reliably than Paul? Were the Bereans criticized for comparing his teachings to Scripture? No! On the contrary, they were commended for doing so. So why are those who question the teachings of some of the most popular preachers criticized?

Maybe this verse will help answer that question:

“For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

The myth is that the Gospel is only for some. Many Christians need to feel like they are part of an elite group that only some people can join. This is a lie and a false doctrine. Any way you slice it, “that dog won’t hunt,” as some like to say.

Those that just sit back and agree to disagree, because this is merely a philosophical difference, are sorely mistaken. You are allowing this false doctrine that has created so called “pastors” such as the eversons, to tear up the very fabric of what you truly believe in your hearts. These liars and false teachers are destroying people in the name of a Holy God and the sacrifice that He made for ALL.

Blessed is Jehovah my Rock, who teaches my hands for war, my fingers for battle (Psalms 144:1).

The TRUTH marches on.

The most troubling part of the situation going on in the SBC and with this Reformed/Calvinist mess being created by these "Drama Queen" preachers is the amount of precious time their surrounding drama takes away from the Word of God and how much attention it saps from congregations that could better be spent IN THE WORD!

Hey, Drama Queens, IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU!!!

Right now on the Trinity blog Chad posted
From the blog:

Let me just state the overwhelming joy I have that at Trinity, Bro. Brad Walker does not consume himself with a “sexual abstinence” message. His goal, our goal as staff and as a Church is to focus on purity and holiness, and this is only taught by going to the Word and finding the mind of Christ on these issues….Purity and holiness through the Word will take care of any behavioral and lifestyle issues that come along. A passion for holiness deals with the heart.

1. This is just crazy. Maybe Chad with his home schooled little drones does not understand the pressures even on Christian Teens. This does not make them lost. It means they are human. The parents of Trinity voted to bring in a man who would help lead our youth in the right direction. This means in the heart and in dealing with pressures. To think that is the same as a leak in the hoover dam will not get bigger if we plant pretty plants around it. No it will just like our youth will make wrong decisions if they are not lead in making wise ones.

2. With the second part "A passion for holiness deals with the heart." I think more people might listen to you if you lead by example. Your heart is so mean spirited that most people would not want holiness if that is what they will become.

Jesus is Love and Joy and when you have met with His people and worshiped Him you should feel good. Now that is not the same as a "Feel Good" message that means you were with Jesus and felt Him.I have not felt the Holy Spirit at Trinity in a long time and before you say it I AM SAVED. No one is too old or too good to stop learning and you need to start searching your own heart. A great book to start with is an oldie but goodie.........The Bible.

I was so glad to see the link to buy Dave Hunt's book "The Seduction of Christianity". Great book!! I posted on another blog about it and his book "What Love is This". Everyone should read both of these books. We have to know what the false doctrine is in order to recognize it when it is being taught. Calvinism makes God out to be a tyrant who only cares about a few. Why would He say in His Word that He loves all men and would have all men come to repentance if it were not so? Why would He send His only Son to die for only a few? The answer is: He wouldn't. You can buy both of these books on Amazon and it will be well worth the money you spend and the time you invest. Most of all we should be people that know God initimately and His Word.

Just an observation, but isn't it amazing that since my friend Doug post and puts his name on here with some dynamic thought and post -along with others - those disciples of Chad and others "go into hiding and shut up".

Guess there is nothing like telling it like it is....and TRUTH marchin on!

Josh said...

doc - maybe they just have better things to do. you ever thought about that?

Dr Who said...

Josh,

Better things to do? Like planting seed to cultivate and deceive the unknowing and manipulate the masses to grow their CULT?

Maybe they can't handle the TRUTHS, ever thought of that?

Truths have a way of silencing inaccuracies.

Truths have a way of making deceivers angry and you can see it in Chad and his disciples post.

So far everything I have read has been proven as TRUTHS.

......I love the TRUTH and the TRUTH is Marchin ON!

Anonymous said...

Well Josh as an outsider on what happened at Chad's other churches and an insider on what has happened at Trinity I see so much of the truth in what has been posted here. As I witnessed all the goings on at TBC and then looked at this well you can claim not of this is truth but it is funny that Chad seems to follow the same script everywhere he goes. The only difference is that his time seems to be getting shorter at the churches, thanks to this sight.

I have said it before that if Chad was a real MAN of God he would do all he could to make a mends with these people. It is obvious that you have hurt them. You should show how much of a "Peacemaker" you are but making the first step to peace. A real man would do this but a carnal man would let his pride say that he owes no one anything.

Well Chad it is on you. Check the Bible I am right....Hmmmmm

Kenny said...

This post says absolutely nothing about Chad or TRUTHS about specific instances when Chad was questioned.

So keep marching with your truth. Or should I say opinion? Because that's all that this is. Just your commentary. Where are the facts?

Give me a specific time when he was questioned and proven wrong. Until then, keep marching!

Dr Who said...

To Kenny AKA Chad disciple;

You say......Give me a specific time when he was questioned and proven wrong.

I remember Billy stood and questioned CHAD and what happened, He run off the stage as a coward would then had his "Mafia lynch mob attack"!

And then there is the issue with his brother Jarrod Everson being caught viewing PORN at his DAD's church and hiring him at Madison Street and NEVER telling the Church he was into PORN.

Then there is the questions about what happened at the church in Byron who had to change the name because of CHAD running it into the ground - Daysprings - and what happened to within his staff and the church finances?

He does not answer questions, he denies denies denies... then runs to daddy Mikey for answers!

Need more Kenny?

To Kenny??
Lie 1:
Several weeks ago a couple went to a meeting with Chad along with Jon. During this meeting Chad told them that the Pastor Search Committee was given a list of 20 people from each of the churches he left for them to check. The lady asked Matt Waddell if that were true? Matt said NO. He had not every been given that list and they only had a list of about 7 people that Chad had selected to contact. Matt being the head of the PSC would have know about such a list.

Lie 2: Chad informed Matt Waddell that he had given all the members of the PSC a 40 something page book that explained what he believed and how he would lead the church. Matt in turn talked to a few of the other members and NONE of them ever received this.

Lie 3: Chad and Michele in an E-Mail to a member of the church said that they told the PSC about this site before they called him. He wanted them to check all this out. When asked about this the members of the PSC said they were not told.

Hmmmmmmm. What do you think Kenny?
Just a few. The PSC should have checked him out better.

Anonymous said...

What about the lie that Chad told that the Choir Officers had run off all the other music ministers and were the cause of ALL of Trinity's problems??

Then Calling Matt Waddell a Lying Back Stabber and that he was the cause of ALL Trinity's problems.

See Chad has lied so much that he does not even know what the truth is anymore.

I don't know who Kenny is but he does need to get his facts right.

Kenny said...

Have you asked anyone else on the PSC about those items? There were seven members. Why don't you ask someone other than Matt, since he's had multiple confrontations with Chad. Obviously, he's not going to say any favorable. Why don't you ask all seven and see what they all have to say...

I have. Why don't you get your facts right!

Anonymous said...

I have too Kenny and my facts are right. Sorry but keep on protecting Chad but you like the others will eat your words. I have talked to 3 others and guess what Matt is right and Chad is wrong.

I will also say that I went to Mr. Matt and asked him about my concerns on Chad several months ago and Mr. Matt was very gracious and told me that he supported Chad. He did not bash him or say anything against him. He did not until Chad turned on him. I feel very bad for him because he and other PSC members feel so guilty over the lies they fell for.

Keep on showing Chad all your support but he will turn on you real quick. Unless you are Chad then your just sick.

Anonymous said...

I have talked to all but 1 of the PSC. They ALL said they did NOT know about this site of any of the problems at Chad's other churches. They ALL said that Chad is not the man they thought he was and that this was NOT what they expected. 4 of them said that they regretted calling him and that they feel so guilty over it. These were just men and women who thought that Chad was who he claimed but were lied to so well they fell for it.I am sorry Kenny but you are so wrong and you will see soon.

Anonymous said...

I spoke with a person that I had words with about 6 months ago. I really thought that she was wrong and Chad was going to be great. I was so wrong. I saw her and had to say I was wrong and she was so right. Now my family is looking for a new church.

We are very happy at Longview Heights. I don't know who you are since you're anonymous but you are certainly welcome to call or email me if you would like. We have a great Sunday School Class. It is in Room 107 on the East side of the building. My email address is ClarenceandAnn@aol.com. Hope to see you Sunday!!

We have been at DeSoto Hills for about 6 months and LOVE IT!! you know that it is hard to leave a place that you have been at for so long. You are not happy there but are afraid to leave. Well I will tell you that that first step is the hardest, after that freedom! You will get back to your first love and start enjoying life in Christ again.

Jesus wants us to spread the message of salvation. He also wants us to enjoy our salvation. He came that we might have life and have it abundantly.

Try it this Sunday. Just find a different church and take a deep breath and walk in. I promise that you will see many faces you know and will enjoy worship all over again. I did not say a feel good message but a message and worship that makes you feel so refreshed.

Chad is not worth any of this. He enjoys hurting us and it is time we stop him. He might win Trinity but he can't win you. Enjoy your walk with Christ love all of it the good times and the bad. See Jesus unlike Chad will stay with us no matter what that is true love. Chad will turn his back on us at the first sign of your name but JESUS LOVES US SO MUCH!!

Where are all the men here?? We need to hear from them. Former staff member or the faithful ones are you still here? Keep up the heat on Chad and maybe he will tuck his tail and run as he has done in the past.

Well I am going to Trinity tomorrow, like I have continued to do Sunday after Sunday and I am looking forward to it! For all of you that choose to go somewhere else, I pray that is where God has you and for those that choose to go to Trinity, we are blessed and are growing in spite of those who wish and pray otherwise. Have a wonderful worship service wherever God leads you to go.

I am sure you will twist the PSC members words. I know Dr. Joe, Greg, Bonnie, Wayne support him. And unless you doubt, I saw the list of names Bro. Chad gave them--yes i really did speak to them. It was 19 including references they called back. I believe nothing on this board...this is the same church who attacked Bro. David verbally, scratched Dr. Butler's name off the bus when we were on a youth retreat when word was received he resigned. Here's a idea; go see the man. If he really told a couple he met with that he had a list he asked PSC to call, ask to see it, bring a PSC member with you...heck, bring Matt. If he produces it...let's make something new up. Come on what ya say???

Anonymous said...

I have to agree with the Chad supporters- the PSC knew about this site because I asked Bonnie about it prior to him coming. A quick google search was how we discovered it and we asked her and she said they knew all about it and met with Chad and discussed it prior to bringing him before the church for a vote. Chad has done a lot to offend me and I am by no means a supporter of his, but lets only post honest things on here, or it makes all that is posted on here seem dishonest.

Watching You said...

The PSC was well aware of chad and this site. He lied and had his followers back in FL as well as the Baptist Mafia, vouch for him. Well actions speak louder than words. He has torn up another church and destroyed more lives just as he will continue to do as long he is allowed to be a "pastor."

Your move Trinity.

Anonymous said...

This is not about who has the next move. Trinity is a church of believers that wants to move forward and grow-not only in Christ but also in numbers and in unity-just like Desoto Hills, Longview Heights, or any other church that loves the Lord. Every idle word will be accounted for. As far as "your move Trinity", how childish. This is not a game-it is life. It is life lived for Him. If anyone needs to make a move, the owner and instigator of this blog need to "move" one. I choose to live for Christ and the people that are still at Trinity, for the most part have the same desire. The ones that have left have done so I hope because the Lord moved them, not because of man's word. I will continue to support my church and unless He tells me to leave, I will stay. I hope all of you feel and believe the same way about the church you belong too. God is way bigger than anything ever written on this screen and I trust Him to continue to show who He is. I look forward to seeing HIS hand not mans. I hope you have as good of a day as I will trusting Him.

It is simple Trinity......

Fire Chad Everson. Chad Everson has no ministry other than the deceptive one.

and then Trinity can move forward.

Thank God for this website and blog owner!

Dear 8:47
You are so right. Trinity is a big beautiful building with a group of believers inside her. We all want to move on and grow both spiritually and in numbers. I don't know if you have been here and looked around but people are not doing either. There is a split that started before Bro. Chad came and he has done nothing to help heal it. There are more empty pews on Sunday's than have ever been. Good and faithful people are being run off. I am someone who left not because God told me to but Chad's followers did. I was told that if I had any problems with Chad's preferences I needed to leave or get saved. I am saved and just because I may not like how things are does not mean I am a troublemaker. I did not go around talking or yelling or posting here. I just made a comment to a group of "friends?" and from that time on I was an outcast. These were people who seem to be more into Chad than Christ. There's the problem. Trinity is at war within herself over a man and he is the only one loving it. I do feel that Chad is loving all this "DRAMA"

Anonymous said...

You may say that all of those PSC members love Chad but only one of them I have not talked to. Why do you think any of them would be honest and tell you what they really think? Look at what Chad did to Matt. There were about 50 people who heard the couple talk about their meeting with Chad and Jon. They found out 1st hand that Chad lied to them. You will see it to. Just wait.

Anonymous said...

To Ann. 11:05 P.M.

I have been at Trinity for 18 years and I do not know what you are talking about. People painting over Bro. Jim's name? What? Confronting Bro. David? What? I think you have lost your mind. If someone did these things it was someone on their own and not all the membership.

If someone had a confrontation with Bro. David well I guess he handled it correct and Godly because I never heard about it. When someone disagrees with Chad then everyone knows it because of his yelling back. He does not handle things the way a Godly Pastor would. He loves a good fight and is ready to duke it out.

Anonymous said...

If it is true that 4 out of 7 PSC members like him then it still means 3 do not. I less than 2 years he has turned 3 people who liked him enough to bring him to our church away. Not good odds.

Anonymous said...

I can't blame the PSC for not being honest with Chad after what he did to Mr. Matt. I think the one who was the back stabbing liar was Chad. He lied to get hired and the stabbed us in the back.

John said...

You have it all wrong. It's not about how many people "like" Chad. That's the problem!! It's not about liking someone! It's about submitting to pastoral authority. That was the problem with David. No one wanted to follow him as our leader. So if you are going to a church only because you "like" the pastor, then you don't get it! Whether you support the pastor's decision or not, if you are a member of the body, then you are called to submit to their authority. If you don't agree with their decision's, there are two options:

1. Stay and support them as your pastor and serve in the church.

2. Find another church where you can serve.

Bashing the pastor on an anonymous blog isn't an option. You are not contributing ANYTHING POSITIVE if that is what you are doing, whether you stay at Trinity or not. It doesn't matter how many people from the PSC "like" Chad. We didn't elect them as a committee to "like" him. We chose them as our representatives to seek out God's direction in finding the next pastor. That's exactly what they did. Like it or not, the Lord led them to Chad. Don't you think that God is big enough to keep Chad away from Trinity if that's not what He wanted?? Of course He is!! So stop all of your "Chad lied to the PSC" rumors. Bottom line...God wanted Chad at Trinity. Maybe He knows that Chad is the exact person that Trinity needs right now...whether you like it or not!

John 2:13-17
13 The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there. 15 And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables. 16 And he told those who sold the pigeons, “Take these things away; do not make my Father's house a house of trade.” 17 His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.” WHY would Jesus Do this? Because he saw people being taken advantage of,abused, He saw God's House being used for people to make money off of God's name. He saw people who were being Bullied by their "leaders" in the church. Jesus unleashed rightous anger on thoses who had Desacrated God's house. Now yall know the reason why I feel Chad has to go. He has taken advantage over thoses who are infant Christians, He has used God's House for his own personal Gain;he has taken the Scriptures out of context and even add things to them.
We are always suppost to question authority. Some of them are wolves in sheeps clothing. Matthew 7:15-2015"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Part 1 Still praising Him in this Storm F.S.M.

You are right John, but if chad was God's will for Trinity, then we must have done something awful for this kind of abuse. I personally will be glad when the whipping is over and God brings a shepard and gets rid of the tyrant.

part 2

Galatians 5:22-23 "22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Chad has not shown any of theses fruits. The way he has blown up at folks (Matt W. and others) The way he preaches he has no Joy .
And the ones of you that think that Chad is a man of God Look at his history. Call thoses churches for yourselves and ask about his ministry there.
I was there at the meeting that night I heard Mr. Matt flat say that he never recieved a list of 20 people more like 7.(if I remember correctly) and he never recieved any papers on Chad beliefs. Now Mr. Matt was the Chairmen of the Psc. If that stuff was Given to anyone on the P.S.C. don't you believe that it would have gotten in Matts hands. We aren't going to leave the reason some of us are attending other churches at times is to feed from the Word of God not the Posion Chad preaches. Something to think about Maybe God Brought Chad to Trinity Because he Knows that Trinity is strong enough to do what the other two churches couldn't Put Chad out of the Ministry for good , so he wont hurt any other of God's Churches.
Hey Chad maybe no one caught what ya said about "This Present Darkness" by Frank E. Peretti but I did. It always helps to have views on Spirtual warfare. Helps A Christian to have an understand about their Enemy...Satan.
Still Praising Him in this Storm , F(ormer) S(taff) M(ember).

John said...

Let's just put it this way....there is a small, vocal group that has a problem with authority. It's the same group that didn't agree with Jim and ran him off. That same group didn't support David and refused to submit to his authority. They are selfish and only want what they want. Now they don't want Chad there anymore and they are trying to run him off. This group has caused division for years. They rejoiced when they were finally able to run off staff members they didn't like. Now they have a pastor that won't put up with it, and they don't like it. So yes, maybe the Lord is trying to teach this group a lesson. He disciplines us because He loves us!

John said...

Former Staff Member,

Or should I say FSM...how clever! Why do you think God is so weak?? You don't believe that He has the power to protect His churches?!? Of course He does!! You might not like it, but God brought Chad to Trinity. If He didn't want him there, He would have sent him somewhere else! If He wanted a different Pastor at Trinity, He would have led the PSC to a different person. You have such high regard for Matt, so don't you think He was following God?

If you don't mind, can you please answer the questions I listed. I want to hear your answers...

Anonymous said...

People, please...do you realize how you are throwing others' names around, speaking for them, telling things about them that they might have told you in confidence and did not have realize that you were going to spread all over the Internet?

My goodness, for all your holy purpose that you claim to be fighting for, you are becoming far worse than those you are fighting against.

Stop and think before you post someone's name. You have raked the PSC over the coals and left impressions about them and their chairman that those people are probably appalled by.

Please, post about yourselves and if those other people have anything to say, let them say it about themselves.

You have left untrue impressions about meetings, called people spies, traitors and all manner of things that you have no right to do.

True concern has evolved into nothing more than vicious, mean-spirited gossip. If you are so brave in sharing everyone else's names, impressions, their every word and action, why don't you post your name and speak for yourself?

The solution to every problem at Trinity...or at any other church, for that matter...can be found on our knees before Almighty God.

Satan loves this. When he can get people INSIDE the church at each other's throats, he's so happy! He doesn't have to stir up those on the outside...they already belong to him. Please, let's don't glorify him...let's glorify the Lord.

Trinity will be destroyed if this mess keeps up much longer. The majority who are posting these things about others don't even attend Trinity anymore. If you love Trinity so much, come home, treat your church family with respect and help pray for the church and let God solve the problems for us.

Perhaps His purpose is to get everyone's focus back on Him. Or, He could be leaving us to destroy ourselves. Too much pain has been inflicted in this world in the name of a "holy cause".

Is this about concern for Trinity or is it about revenge and hurt feelings???

I am not sure how true the story is about the youth scratching Bro. Jim's name off the van. Not long after Bro. Jim left I had the van for a Singles trip and we got back late that night. As I was pulling into the cage one of the gates hit the van as I was pulling in and scratched Bro. Jim's name. I called Bro. John Miller the next morning and told him what happend and he told me not to worry about it since his name would eventually be removed/replace anyway. This is true because I did it. Not so sure about why someone would say youth did it.....

Folks, don't think for one second these Everson's will not deceive you.

I saw this and it reminded me of what Mike Everson and those within the Georgia Baptist Convention attempted to pull over on the Baptist within Ga UNTIL Doug researched and reported to all that it was a lie.

Gerald Harris (editor of the propaganda paper the Christian Index) and Robert White (Chairman of the G B C) published an article which turned out to be 100% false and it took them almost 1 1/2 year to publicly correct this false information. Until then they blew the lie off hoping no one would expose it. Well it got out and they went into "cover up mode"

They made it a huge story of his LIES and college training to begin with, but buried it in the middle of the paper when it came time to correct and retract the story......

"When Mike Everson became one of George Baptists’ missionary resource consultants The Christian Index erroneously reported that he had graduated from Georgia Tech, Mid-America Seminary, and Luther Rice Seminary. Everson attended those educational institutions, but did not graduate.

This is what you have to do....report and report some more of the TRUTHS...

It does add to their Horrible Legacy!

This is just crazy to think that we are just a few people who have always caused trouble. That sounds like another rumor that Chad wants to listen to and repeat. There are so many people who are now visiting other churches that I would have never thought would leave. There are people who have been here most of their lives. There are former staff members and teachers and choir members and the list keeps on going. Many of them have just quietly left as it should probably be some have not. There are some who are just fed up this it to the point they will not leave and plan to be a thorn in Chad's side. I know a few of these people and Chad is in for a wild ride that he will not win. I have chose to visit other churches and allow God to lead me to the place he wants me to serve at. I can't go back to Trinity while it is run by well I will just say what I am thinking "Wimps and Liars". That might be nice but it is the truth.

I have great regard for our PSC and I know they would have never brought this man in if they had had any idea of what his plans were. They all feel bad and wish they had followed Dr. Mahoney's advise and passed on him. It is too late for hind sight and now we must do what we can. Stop the money and he will go. I am doing more I am giving mine to another church. The Bible does not say that we must give it to Trinity just to God. He is at other churches and I don't think he is at Trinity anymore. Next time remember that where there is smoke there is always fire and always pass on red flags. Trinity is paying a great price for your "Lets give him a chance" idea that bombed.

Good News Bro. Jim is preaching tomorrow at LaBelle Haven Baptist Church.

Another lie Bro Jim never sent Chad a letter telling him not to worry about him moving back. Chad claimed he was letting him know that Bro. Jim had no intentions of taking over Trinity. Bro. Jim never sent this letter. Chad LIED like that surprises anyone.

AWESOME SUNDAY!! Went to hear Bro. Jim along with about 85 Trinity Members. It was wonderful.I felt at home with so many old friends and listening to a wonderful Man of God. Different from what Chad gives us.

My wife has been questioning this calvinistic preaching for over a month; there is truly no alter call. I never paid much attention to it until recently. I have never cared for his sacastic-mocking attitude or his "you can just leave" attitude. Tell me, is this how Jesus preached? Look, I am still a Christian in the works, may not understand it all, but I do know in contradiction to calvin beliefs, that God gave man a free will to chose good or evil, and that if we (the elect)were already predestined to go to heaven, why did Christ die on the cross for all of mankind?
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Do I need to point out that HE LOVED THE WORLD and that WHOEVER BELIEVES....which means that there will be people whose choice is not to believe.
So much for my biblical knowledge....NOW HOW DO WE TAKE BACK OUR CHURCH???

To:1:51

You are so right and Chad has it so wrong.

Chad does not liked to be questioned but he sure does like to brow beat others.

To annom. 1:51 I have watched that as well. I have left but saw for several months there was no alter call and the people coming down had to be approved by Chad before joining the church. He claims they have to "Like Minded" before they might become members. Chad had things and people so mixed up.

This is from Chad's new blog:
He will do and say anything to make us stop and shut up or leave.. Hmmmm sounds like he is getting the message.

When I read this, and I see the number of churches in conflict, I was wondering if this is actually a title of some secret book that is floating around. But when I read it in light of our study about the Church and dealing with fallen people saved by the grace of God, along with our Peace Maker’s series, I thought it very fitting.

How to wreck your church in three weeks
Week One: Walk into church today and think about how long you’ve been a member, how much you’ve sacrificed, how under-appreciated you are. Take note of every way you’re dissatisfied with your church now. Take note of every person who displeases you.
Meet for coffee this week with another member and “share your heart.” Discuss how your church is changing, how you are being left out. Ask your friend who else in the church has “concerns.” Agree together that you must “pray about it.”
Week Two: Send an email to a few other “concerned” members. Inform them that a groundswell of grievance is surfacing in your church. Problems have gone unaddressed for too long. Ask them to keep the matter to themselves “for the sake of the body.”
As complaints come in, form them into a petition to demand an accounting from the leaders of the church. Circulate the petition quietly. Gathering support will be easy. Even happy members can be used if you appeal to their sense of fairness – that your side deserves a hearing. Be sure to proceed in a way that conforms to your church constitution, so that your petition is procedurally correct.
Week Three: When the growing moral fervor, ill-defined but powerful, reaches critical mass, confront the elders with your demands. Inform them of all the woundedness in the church, which leaves you with no choice but to put your petition forward. Inform them that, for the sake of reconciliation, the concerns of the body must be satisfied.
Whatever happens from this point on, you have won. You have changed the subject in your church from gospel advance to your own grievances. To some degree, you will get your way. Your church will need three or four years for recovery. But at any future time, you can do it all again. It only takes three weeks.
Just one question. Even if you are being wronged, “Why not rather suffer wrong?” (1 Corinthians 6:7)
