He could very well be on the prowl, watch out! Do not let destruction just move from one church to another. Do your homework on prospective pastors. Some of these guys are wolves in sheep's clothing. Their calling is not of God. They seek out weak minded people to support their blasphemous cause.
Just do your research, Pastor Search Committees. Make these guys actually interview for their positions and hold them accountable when you do call them. Call their previous church and get the real story on why they left. A little bit of homework goes a long way in preventing the kind of destruction that this guy and his crew have been able to spread.
Stand firm on God's word and seek Him out, He will reveal His will to those who want to see it.

I understand that he needs to be stopped but he also needs to leave TBC.
I am pretty sure there was a PSC at Trinity a couple of weeks ago. They went into the visitor welcome center and talked to Chad like they knew him and they talked for a long time. I tried to see if they left together but I could not tell. I am sorry but I hope they take him and run.
Let's hope that the PSC was from Georgia, that Daddy has used his influence and that some nice Calvinist congregation will want him with all their hearts.
I believe if he was in a church where he wouldn't have to hide his Calvinism, he would be happy, the people would be happy and maybe he could stop the anger and love on his flock.
If the church wanted Calvinism taught, then they would all deserve each other.
I cannot imagine that Trinity would accept Calvinist teaching if they knew what is going on right under their noses. And, Trinity people, don't think that telling your friends that your pastor is Calvinist is gossip. It's not!...it's truth.
Check it out for yourselves and find out if your Deacons know it and are going along with it. This needs to be a decision that the church makes...not just a "going along with Chad" decision by a handful of men. Where is the doctrine they've been taught before Chad came?

I don't know what to do three churches destroyed in about ten years he is bad for any church but I am being selfish I just want him gone and then maybe some of our people will return and so will our hope in Trinity becoming what God wants not Chad.
Be careful! Don't cross Chad or Michele- they will run you out of the church! It's scary to think of how much they desire to hurt the "body". They tear down our members from the same mouths they preach out of. I guess this is just what they call church discipline!!
When the PSC at Trinity decided Chad was the person to call, they cited one of the things he was going to do was to get a "handle" on the staff. Well he cleaned house and brought in everyone of his own choosing and all of the problems with the staff just increased. They still come and go as they please, taking extended lunches, vacations as they will. They enjoy visiting with friends and family on the church's $$$. The children and nursery area is still filled with gossipers and negative grumps! What's changed?

Other issues that were seen and or heard by me as I worked on the computer system over the years
1. Our staff is paid to work certain hours, perform certain tasks and be held accountable for the work efforts with church member’s tithes and offerings. I am not talking about our secretarial or custodial staff as they all work hard and are never if ever late, or show disrespect for the church member’s tithes and offerings. As of March 21st 2007, office hours were 8am to 4 pm – Monday thru Friday with 1 hour for lunch. On most days they showed up at 8:30-9:00 am, went to lunch at 11:15 – 11:45 am, came back from lunch @ 1:00 – 1:45 pm. And went home between 3:00-4:00 pm. These days were varied over my years of doing my computer support services but I saw it happen way too much.
2. Staff members were seen playing cards and games many times during office hours at the church vs. doing the ministry work of our church and its members.
3. Evangelical Staff discussed negatively about who would go and visit sick people in the homes, nursing homes, and hospitals. To me this showed disrespect to our members who were to be ministered to while ill. They would say it was “others” responsibility instead of them showing the “gift” of mercy and wanting to do the visits out of the love for our members. Instead they were they had a “being forced to do something they did not want to do” attitude.
4. They wasted time and were bad stewards of tithes and offerings by viewing / surfing internet websites for sports, hobbies, EBAY, personal trips and cruises, and many more websites daily vs. doing the ministry of Pray’s Mill and its members.
5. Church Members private issues, concerns and complaints (some of which I considered very personal) were being discussed openly in and around the office, and not as a ministry support system, but for general gossip.
6. Ric and Clay talked and said mean things to “regular” people and were very critical of several teenagers and adults. During their conversations they used sarcastic comments to them which I felt were inappropriate. I sent emails to them stating that I felt it was not right to speak to people in that manner and as a minister they should be more sensitive and respect others in a more godly way. These emails were also copied to Mike Everson for his review.
7. Mike Everson also uses/ used Prays Mill tithes and offerings for letters, material, labor, postage, and time etc., to further causes for the GBC

Yes one of the things he complained of was seeing the staff doing on one of his pop in visits he made before coming in view of a call way goofing off playing basketball during the day. He said then that this staff was going to have to shape up and that we had to many people on staff. O.K. well lets see the ones who have left have all been replaces even with people not qualified making more money. He still wants to hire an assoc. pastor and we have no money for it. When one of the ladies left from on staff in nursery (the only one who worked) instead of making the two take up the job they hired another person to do NOTHING! This must stop and Chad did not do anything he claimed he would do and needs to be fired. If he were fired then maybe another PSC would then look harder at his stories.

Mike fired / laid off \ got rid of our daycare right after he came to Prays Mill.

We don't have a day care but we have had a Mothers Day Out for the past 15 years. It is probably the only thing making money. Oh yea the Senior Adult Housing is but Chad wants it gone. He wants to sell the property and has it on the Shhhh market. He wants to use the money to show we have the money to hire his asst. pastor. Watch Out he will sell off the whole place if you think he won't ask the people in Florida who are having to pay for the million dollar loans he took out without the churches knowledge. We are going to find out a lot after he leaves. This time there will be an audit and I see criminal charges Chad.
An audit would be a good thing. I've heard lots of the accounts aren't being done correctly!
So many faithful families are leaving. It is heart breaking. It's the families that are serving, going, and praying. They cannot take it any longer. It is hard to see so many godly people having to go elsewhere. Our church is losing a lot.
We needed an audit when Jett left and many said so but the staff and deacons refused. I think we need one every year just to keep things transparent and if the preacher or staff or deacons say no then we know something is wrong. We really need one now. There have been to many reports of Chad doing wrong at his other churches this will be proof he is doing right and if not we will know before it is too late.
I hate all this going on we left almost a year ago because I just could not stand Chad's preaching. I just ran into a friend still at Trinity and she said they were there but were hoping he would leave soon. This was someone that I thought was a Chad Fan. Many are wishing that he would leave and take Jon and Jeff with him. I just hope it is not false hope in him leaving. I could not stand to remain somewhere where so many people don't like me.
When you teach "sunday school" from what the preacher and his brother wrote and preach what you want to preach meaning he is in control of what he wants you to hear that sounds "cult like". When Bro Jim was there the auditorrim was not to big but CHad Everson has made the comment that it is too big.
Bro Jim is coming back, how many would be interested in him starting a new church?

Our family is exactly in the same place- staying and hoping he leaves soon. But I disagree about Bro. Jon leaving. He really is a man from God. He has such a heart for the Lord and his family is so kind. Please don't put them together or make them like minded- I truly don't think they are.
Bro. Jon I think is different from Chad but he unfortunately does not have the qualifications for the job he was hired to do. That was all Chad and Jimmy H. fault. I do know after talking with him and his wife they are very Godly but they can't stay if Chad has brainwashed him into his wacky crazy ways.
He must understand that Chad's way is not the way you minister and pastor a church. Chad is like most Bullies they are small people acting big.
The reason our worship center was not to big while Bro. Jim was here was because we had people who came and were in it. Now it has 1/3 the amount of people and is to big for Chad's preaching. We have plenty of room now something many of us long time members are not used to. We out grew our old worship ctr. the second week we were in Southaven. We went to 3 services and 2 Sunday Schools. Now Chad has solved our space problem, don't build on Run Off! I can really see how very few feel he is the right man for Trinity.
The only ones who feel that Chad and Jon are the right ones for Trinity are the weak and simple minded. Neither are qualified to have the Jobs that they do at Trinity. Jon is not a choir director,he is a praise team leader. Chad is worthless he takes the scriptures and twist them to suit his agenda. After all of this is over it is going to taking a lot of healing be cause of the damage that Chad has caused
Good News all you people from Chad's churches he left... He preached today that when you leave a church you must return and apologize to them. He did not say why this is but I am sure that he will lead by example and follow his own commands. This means he will finally say he is sorry for all he did to you. That is what Chad said and he always says he will do what he says. Hmmm lets see if he does.

I agree Chad got his job because he wanted to come in and help us heal. He was going to fix a lazy staff. What he did was come in and rip a split even wider. He has brought in people who can not help our church either. Jeff has done nothing good for the children and Jon had ruined the choir. Brad is the only good he has done. We enjoy to hear him preach and the youth love him and his family. We are afraid to say anything because Chad will fire him. Chad and Jeff must go and Jon should stay on until we find a real music minister and bye bye to Steve too he needs to go back to volunteering with band only .

That was what he told the service today. "Before you join another church you should always go back to the old church and apologize and ask forgiveness for leaving it." So if he told us that then I agree with the other post he should walk the walk and go back to his old churches and set the example.But I also agree that he will never do that.
He also today fired a long time Sunday School teacher because she was teaching men and that was wrong. She is an awesome teacher and that was wrong to take away her gift God gave her. Jeff Summars will be teaching this ADULT class and we pay him to teach children.
They are also changing up Sunday School to where we will be going into worship ctr as one group. This will hopefully stop people from leaving before worship. He MUST have control. It is getting worse every week. He MUST leave.

Why not give your tithes to a ministry that you know is doing God's work? Chad is using the money for his glory by writing material with his brother for this new "sunday school". God gave us a mind. You don't have to move your membership but you can go to other churches to see the difference in other services.
Jarrod has been writing Sunday School lessons for years trying to make that extra income from all those Everson disciples who are so loyal to such Pharisees. He sure does not do it for GOD's glory...only his.

The reason that Chad wanted the singles class stopped was because he hates that there are divorced people in it. I agree that divorce is a sin but God forgives sin. If we were sinless then Jesus would have not had to die on the cross for our sins. It is a sin to also only preach to the people that Chad thinks are worthy. Jesus died for ALL. Chad wants us to be a CULT and only allow in the ones he likes and can be conformed to his way of thinking. I keep thinking it can't get worse but every time Chad steps up to speak it does.
Yes, Jesus spoke out against sin, but he spent far more time trying to meet the physical and spiritual needs of sinners, and then teach them about forgiveness, repentance, and salvation by active love instead of by judgmental confrontation. Jesus healed and fed and cared for the poor, even as He preached repentance and salvation, so why should our approach be any different? It is futility and folly for the church to try to regulate the sinful behaviors of one another and it distracts us from our final God given instruction which is to "Go and make disciples of all men, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all the things the LORD commanded."
GOD shows us that we are know by the fruit we produce. We all sin (even our church staff) and therefore we all have rotten fruit, but our focus should not remain on the rotten fruit of one another, but rather on changing the heart so that it begins to produce different fruit.
Instead of looking for the sins of my fellow believers, I will first examine my own fruit (of which I can always find some beginning to sour and some fully rotten) and repenting and changing according to the plans God has laid out in scripture and according to HIS will for me. I will also use my time to encourage other believers and disciple them with LOVE. I will spend my days showing active compassion toward "the least of these", even if I find them mired in sin.
We have GOT to pray for Chad and our church.

This is a shame that Trinity a church that has always stood as a proud beacon for the Lord now must hang her steeple in shame. See all of you who think Chad needs to read this well he does. That was his post. He knows our feelings and our hearts. He reads us posting that our hearts are breaking and we just want God's plan for God's church. This makes Chad angry see he could care less about our hearts he only cares about POWER. He is so hungry for total control he could care less that destroying the church.
God who created the Earth could have made us to have no will. He could have saved himself a lot of trouble if he had. God wants total control of our lives and hearts but it is men like Chad who are turning people away from God. And I will say that calling our deacons fools may have been harsh but they need to step up and show us they care. Chad YOU need to seek God's will and follow the direction of the pastor of Bellvue Bapt. He sought out God's will fasted and prayed and fully expected God to fix the membership's hearts and was surprised when God showed him it was his heart that needed to be changed. Try it Chad, I am not saying it is all you we all need to ask God.
The thought that the only thing someone got upset with out of all the heart cries posted here was about holding the tithe and calling deacons not doing anything fools. If Chad was a "Man of God" he would be concerned with all the heartache talked about. But no lets just get mad about the money being held. This shows where his heart is.It is not with the people it is in their pockets.

Gee this sounds so familiar to those of us who have been cursed to have Chad Everson as our "Pastor". He is a Abuser he may not put his hands on you but he hurts the spirit more than a wound would.
When my Sunday School teacher was told he was not qualified to teach after years of service it was heart breaking. Our class tried to pretend nothing had happened. It was unbelieveable how this was handled. The new teacher came in late and clueless never explained why our teacher who was always there and prepared, was absence. The class never mentioned his name. A couple came in late and never ask where he was and later said they had no idea what was going on. Give me a break. That would be the 1st thing ask if under other circumstances. This was a eye opening experience I will never forget. I did address the new teacher who did only as Chad told him. When Chad was asked about it he admitted that he told him how to handle us. Chad let us know he was not backing down and reconciliation was not achieved. So much for peacemakers. Several class members left and have found churches that are helping us find peace and restoration. There will always be a strong connection to TBC because of the true love of Christ that the church has for people. I will miss my church family forever because I love them.
Leaving your church home is tough but you do not want to stay and be a stumbling block for others. GOD help us all we are desperate for HIM as never before.
Mrs. Ann was not the first that Chad and Michele have fired from teaching. They won't be the last. We have lost many teachers and leaders over the past year. The way he is making the new BFG's work we will not need teachers anyway. Only one person who Chad picks will teach then you will return back to your class to discuss what you were taught only. For all the old Colonial Hills people this sounds so much like old "Shepard Groups" Amazing it did not work there and now Chad wants it here. Thanks Bonnie you left CHBC for that reason and now you brought it here. Well Done! I think also if the new material is being written by Chad's brother then to show his good faith he should replace it just to show us wrong.

I am praying for everyone at Trinity. It is obvious from these posts that all members are hurting- those who agree with the pastor (and WANT people to leave the church- as if that is godly), and those who do not agree with him (many have responses which are also ungodly- not all, but some). This does not create a healthy church for anyone involved. Peacemakers sermons and discipline instructions aren't the answer, though- prayer is. It is the only way to find GOD's will for our church.
Trinity is not doing shepherd groups and Ann was not fired. Get your stories straight. Gossip is all that is. I hope God burdens your heart for the lost because your time would be much better spent spreading the Gospel then spreading gossip. You folks should stop destroying the Church. I pray that one day you will realize that what you are doing is a sin.

I wonder if you even know about Shepherd Groups and it is cult like to run a church like you are doing. WOW I have not been at Trinity in a while I just could not take any more of Chad's screams. I took the advice of a past post and visited another church. I found LOVE there and people who were as kind as we used to be at Trinity, I hate to see all of this still happening but I do feel a man of God would sit back and try to work with everyone. By the post here he does not. I have family still there and they hate his sermons but love their S.S. class. A real man of God would try to be a peacemaker and from his post all I feel is anger and hate. Glad I Left!

We have many who know that things are wrong here. J. Brown and J. Colton, L. Peirce, J.O'Daniel and so many other men who have lead us for all these years and are successful businessmen why are you just sitting back and not stopping all this madness? Right or Wrong something must be fixed and you guys all know that things are bad. Sunday morning looked like a Sunday night and the attendance is very low. We all need to fall on our faces and pray for God to intervene and put an end to this mad man.
I used to be one of the ones on here posting the positive comments about Trinity and trying my best to be hopeful about such a dire situation, and I did so with the best Christian intentions. I sincerely wanted each member to get along in Christian love and wanted the best for our church, however I can no longer say the same things. I began to pray that God would open my eyes to the truth of the situation and that He would open my ears to hear what he wanted me to hear- and He did. I realized that I no longer can just say "Let's give Bro. Chad a chance" or "I trust the PSC- I voted for every one of them and I trust in their decision" and always gave him the benefit of the doubt, but I can no longer keep my head in the sand. What Bro. Chad says is not biblical. The way he runs the church with an iron fist is not right. A church member should have a voice, yet more and more our voices are being taken away. Committees are not free to make decisions. Chad doesn't allow the church members to use their God-given talents for God's glory, instead, he micro manages the whole church. But the worst part is that what he speaks from the pulpit is not of God. He's twisting scripture for his own agenda and it is heartbreaking. I don't want my kids hearing that. I don't think we can take much more. PLEASE deacons! You're our only hope!

Sorry to disagree, but his two previous churches allowed him to find other churches. His last two certainly did not fire him, they both stood by and watched him go to the next and destroy it. A few spoke out and tried to warn Trinity, however their leadership decided not to heed the warning.
Trinity, do what his last two did not do, and take care of this wolf in sheep’s clothing. Do not allow him to continue his destructive ways. Warn those Brothers and Sisters that he has in his sights now. There is too much turmoil there for him and his crew to not be on the prowl for another victim.
If his next prospect wants a dictator and an extreme Calvinist, then let them have him, but at least tell them the TRUTH, because they will not get it from these guys. They do not know TRUTH.
Those within the Baptist Mafia won't just leave, they demand "comp packages of 6 months plus" other other ridiculous benefits from those they deceive.

Look Chad your ministry is crumbling and unless you change YOUR heart you will move your family from one failed church to another. The sins of the father must stop with you. You will just pass on this to your sons who I hope will become something else. I think that with your passion you might become a great preacher but you are missing one main qualification you must build upon Jesus and His LOVE. Why do you think He said the greatest of these is LOVE? Love has the power to overcome. It was God's LOVE that over came Hell and the grave. I will say this I love you and your family but I hate what you do to people and more than what you do is you do it in Jesus' name. That is a SIN!
Yes Trinity is just like sand falling through your fingers. God is opening eyes and people are seeing you for what you really are.
